Frankreich - The Westin Paris

Fotogalerie The Westin ParisLocation

The Westin Paris has a superb location in the center of Paris and is surrounded by famous landmarks. It is situated on rue de Castiglione, just off the Place Vendôme, next to the Place de la Concorde and immediately opposite the spectacular Tuileries Gardens. It is truly in the heart of the cultural, financial, business and shopping areas with both the Louvre and the Champs-Elysées just a few minutes away.

Description

Built in 1878, the hotel forms a five-story quadrilateral, surrounded by four streets. On the rue de Castiglione and the rue de Rivoli, it is surrounded by arcades, which shelter elegant shops.

The rooms on the rue de Rivoli offer some of the most beautiful views in Paris of the Tuileries Gardens. These famous gardens were designed by Le Nôtre under Louis XIV and are bordered by the Palais du Louvre, the Seine and the Place de la Concorde.

The entrance to the hotel is flanked by two magnificent bronze candelabras originating from a palace in Saint-Petersburg. Inside, one finds the main courtyard, which is home to the "Winter Garden" reception hall and the Terrasse Fleurie, the open-air restaurant. The focal point of the courtyard is a fountain and circular pool in which a white marble water nymph is seated, whilst the back section is covered by a spectacular glass roof, constructed in 1878 and faithfully restored in 1997.

Accommodation

All 438 guest rooms and suites, many with superb views of the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens, have been decorated in a style that evokes the feeling of staying in a comfortable private Parisian apartment. The interior décor of all 438 guest rooms is being renewed. The new décor will be a mixture of revisited classicism and contemporary design, and will feature modern accent colors in a completely classical and historical setting.

The preferred residence of many royals and celebrities since the late 1800's, the Westin Paris is the traditional luxury hotel, boasting the largest number of suites in all Paris: 78 suites ranging from 50 to 170 square meters, and among the most magnificent views in the capital. From one-bedroom Junior Suites to two-bedrooms Presidential Suites, the hotel offers an incomparable selection of private apartments, appealing to a great variety of tastes and needs. They may also be joined to one or several connecting rooms, thereby transforming into exceptional living quarters.
