Soneva Gili, the first all over-water villa resort in the Maldives, is easily accessible by a 20-minute speedboat ride from Male' International Airport in the Male' atoll.

Lankanfushi is located in one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives. The tiny coral island, located at 4° 17'N of 30° 55'E, is set within one of 19 atolls that stretch across 800 kilometres of the Indian Ocean and one of the 1,190 islands that make up the Maldives. Apart from the crystal clear waters, for which the Maldives is world renowned, the island and lagoon provide the unique experience of combining the lush, natural vegetation on the island with the abundance of colourful marine life around the island's reefs.

The island provides a very intimate atmosphere and the unique design of the villas, set along jetties that stretch into the lagoon, create a wonderfully serene environment. The location provides a very convenient platform from which to discover the many dive sites that may be explored in the Male' atoll.

The interior decor has been devised to re-create a natural habitat, using sustainable woods, natural materials and traditional fabrics, whilst still offering all of the contemporary amenities of a truly luxurious living space. The utmost care has been given to ensure that the resort is environmentally-friendly and reflects the harmony that is congruent with life by the water's edge.

The 45 over-sized water villa suites and residences have all the luxuries one would expect from one of the world's most exclusive resorts. Each suite and residence has been designed and constructed with the utmost attention to detail to ensure the total comfort of our guests. Each is located more than twenty metres from the next to ensure total privacy.

Soneva Gili Villa Suite (210 sqm) - 29 water villas with air-conditioned bedrooms with king-sized bed, some with two twin beds, and a large open-air living room with daybeds and two dining area.

Soneva Gili Residence (250 sqm) - 8 water residences secluded for privacy, with king-sized bed in an air-conditioned bedroom, large living room with seating arrangements and daybeds.

Soneva Gili Crusoe Residence (250 sqm) - 7 water residences stand side by side, 30 metres apart in the lagoon, majestically looking out beyond the coral reef to the open sea. Each has its own private rowing boat or electrically operated pontoon boat for traveling between the residence and the jetty. Each has the same facilities as the Soneva Gili Residence.

Soneva Gili Private Reserve (1,400 sqm) - The ultimate retreat is the Private Reserve, which unfolds over 1,400 square metres, with five separate buildings including two master suites plus guest accommodation, a private spa with steam room, sauna, massage pavilion, gymnasium and extensive lounging areas.

Guests can also enjoy sunset cocktails and freshly grilled cuisine at the over-water bar and restaurant or lunches and dinners at the organic herb and vegetable garden. Additionally, the in villa dining menu is customized and served in either the living room of your villa or on the upper sun deck under the stars.
